Quant Trident ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps users optimize TradingView strategy parameters. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

All optimization data, results, and settings are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

What Data is Stored Locally

The following data is stored on your device only:

Optimization results (parameter values and performance metrics)
User preferences (delay settings, optimization method)
Saved reports from past optimization runs

You can clear all locally stored data at any time by removing the extension or clearing its storage in Chrome settings.

Permissions

The extension requests the following permissions, each necessary for core functionality:

activeTab: To interact with the currently active TradingView tab — reading strategy inputs and performance metrics.
storage: To save optimization results and preferences locally in your browser.
scripting: To ensure the content script is properly loaded on TradingView pages.
host_permissions (tradingview.com): To access TradingView pages for reading strategy metrics and modifying strategy inputs.

Third-Party Services

This extension does not communicate with any external servers, APIs, or third-party services. There is no analytics, tracking, advertising, or telemetry of any kind.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer any user data to any third party. Since we do not collect any data, there is nothing to share.

Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
